Distinguish a room card, a historical visit, and a queued room search. Learn why one observation cannot establish continuous IMVU activity.

Decide which room question you are asking

“Room scanner” can describe several different tasks. You may want information about a known room, recorded visits on an earlier date, or a search that attempts to return an available room match. Findgu has separate tools for these tasks.

Use the right identifier

Room Card Viewer expects a room instance ID. Historical Room Viewer starts with a username or CID and a selected date. Room History starts from a room identifier to inspect collected observations.

A room name is not necessarily a room instance ID. Copy the identifier requested by the tool rather than trying the same text in every input.

A snapshot has a boundary

A returned participant or room observation describes what the source supplied for that observation. It should not be read as a continuous recording. Someone can appear in a collected record without that record proving when they arrived, when they left, or everything they did between snapshots.

For example, two fictional observations at 10:00 and 11:00 do not prove a continuous one-hour visit. They establish two observations unless the result provides additional evidence.

Queued searches are different from history

An advanced search may take time or return no match. Submitting the same request repeatedly will not guarantee coverage. Read progress and error messages, then let the request finish. Private Room Viewer requires Pro and does not promise a match for every account.

Before upgrading

Check whether the result you need is an account-based history, a room-based history, or a current room detail. Compare those needs with Pricing. Paying for access does not make an incomplete archive a complete activity log. The usage guide explains how to handle missing results.
